what started out as a love for playing music, has grown into helping grow other artists.
birds per hour began as a band, but it has evolved to more than just making music. shannon hauppa was a founding member of chicago melodic art punk band, greenlight (2003-2007), and birds per hour started as a way to continue writing songs and having a creative outlet for music. over the last few years, shannon found a new way to use what she learned from managing her own band, when her daughter started a band as a freshman in high school and needed help with booking shows, setting up a website, and general management of her band. so what started as a band, became an outlet for helping other artists find their way in the music scene.
